Job Summary
The Michigan Center for Respiratory Virus Research and Response and the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health are seeking an experienced, highly organized and motivated project assistant to join our dynamic team. The Center has a large portfolio of respiratory virus research studies in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control Control, the National Institutes of Health, and the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health examining vaccine effectiveness for influenza and COVID-19 vaccines and identifying respiratory virus response in community settings.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team and assist with the implementation of research studies with meaningful outcomes. This is a full-time research coordinator position working in the Center under the direction of Center leadership, Dr. Emily Martin and Dr. Arnold Monto. The ideal candidate will work independently and as part of a team to assist Center Project Managers in implementing multiple research studies. The ideal candidate should have previous experience working on public health research projects, including enrolling participants and obtaining informed consent, and familiarity with working in a research setting.

Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related research experience required. Experience working in a research setting, preferably with studies involving community recruitment and implementation.
The successful candidate must have knowledge and demonstrated experience with research study management and UM requirements regarding the conduct of human subject research; excellent MS OFFICE, MS ACCESS, EXCEL skills; excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Must have valid driver's license. This position involves operating U-M vehicles in order to transport specimens.

Additional Information
This role will be 100% in-person at the School of Public Health. Occasional evening and/or weekend availability is required.
This position is term-limited for one year with possibility of extension based on funding and performance.
