About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period while ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and newborn. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative maternity care environment supporting approximately 850 900 births annually .
ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum for mothers and newborns.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies.
Assist physicians and healthcare providers during vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum recovery, newborn care, breastfeeding, and discharge planning.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
Previous Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience preferred.
Current BLS certification required (additional certifications may be required by the facility).
Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills.
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced maternity care environment.
